Mets Lake – Thorney Weir

Mets Lake is a smaller sister water to Thorney Weir located on the same Iver complex. Covering about three acres Mets offers a more intimate setting but still holds a great stock of carp averaging mid to upper doubles with a fair few twenties. The lake features reed fringes shallow shelves and clear gravel spots making it a classic little runs water. Mets Lake shares the secure gated access and parking of the main Thorney Weir site along with clean toilets and well managed paths. It’s an excellent choice for anglers who enjoy shorter sessions or want to build confidence catching multiple carp in a natural quiet setting.
